Triceratops, Stegosaurus & Ankylosaurus Coloring Pages
Triceratops, with its three horns and neck frill, is one of the most beloved dinosaurs, shown here as an adult, a baby, with a flower crown, and in the mud. "Triceratops Carries a Friend" is an especially sweet page. Styracosaurus, Chasmosaurus, Pentaceratops, Pachyrhinosaurus, and Protoceratops are relatives, so kids can spot the differences in frills, horns, and nose bumps.
For Stegosaurus, the back plates take center stage: sometimes they are colorful, sometimes a butterfly sits on them, and sometimes the back turns into a slide. Kentrosaurus, a relative, also had long spikes. Stegosaurus lived in the Jurassic, about 80 million years before T. rex, which is a great fact for curious kids.
The armored dinosaurs offer lots of patterns to design: Ankylosaurus had bony plates and a tail club, and on the "Ankylosaurus Armor Pattern" page every child can color the armor in any way they like. Nodosaurus and Euoplocephalus join the armored crowd. Pachycephalosaurus, with its thick domed skull, also shown as a pair of friends, rounds out the group as a true bonehead.
