DIY paper squishy – how it works

A paper squishy is a soft, squeezable friend you build with simple supplies from home. Every paper squishy template is a PDF with a full-color front and back, a version to color yourself and tiny mini squishies. Just print on US Letter paper, cut out with a white border and tape the pieces together with wide tape.

For a DIY paper squishy you need regular printer paper, wide clear tape, scissors and stuffing like cotton or yarn. Tape the edge all the way around, leave about 1 inch open at the bottom, fill it softly and seal the opening. Every printable squishy here is free and works great at home, in class or at a party.

Browse 13 categories, from food and animals to fantasy creatures and grumpy stress-relief squishies. If you like to design your own, grab the coloring version and make your favorite one-of-a-kind. Stuffing and tape are not for children under 3, so little ones should always build together with a grown-up. Cut out a little generously, because the white border gives the edge a firm hold later.
