Calf Paper Squishy: a Spotted Calf to Squeeze

Full-color paper squishy template of a sitting calf with brown spots, little horns and a brown back, printable

White with brown spots, tiny horns and a pink muzzle – this calf is a favorite with farm fans of every age. As a paper squishy it turns soft and squeezable and makes a sweet desk buddy. Perfect for groups, too, since the mini page covers several kids at once.

How to make your calf squishy

1
Print at 100% (actual size) and color the coloring version – the spots can be black, too.
2
Cut out both pieces along the thin outer line, going slowly around the horns and ears.
3
Cover front and back with wide packing tape so they turn smooth and tear-proof.
4
Place the back under the front and tape the white border all around, leaving about 1 inch open at the bottom.
5
Stuff loosely with fiberfill and seal the last gap with tape.

Safety: Stuffing, tape and small parts are not for children under 3.

πŸ’‘ Tips

  • The horns are narrow – small pointed scissors make them easier.
  • With four color minis on one page, you have little gifts for siblings or classmates in no time.
  • Stuffing and tape aren't for kids under 3; little ones need a grown-up nearby.
  • Smooth the tape from the center outward to avoid wrinkles, and the calf will shine.

What kids practice

Kids cut tight corners around horns and ears and practice pressing tape down without wrinkles. It's also a nice moment to explain that a calf is a cow's baby – and that a cow's milk is really meant for her calf.

πŸ”„ Variations & Ideas

Black-and-white cow
Color the spots black on the coloring version to turn the calf into a Holstein.
Cow and calf
The big squishy becomes the mother cow, the minis are her calves in the pasture.
Dairy corner
Pair it with the milk bottle squishy from this set for a little dairy shelf in a play store.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Does the calf have horns?
Yes, two small light horns above the floppy ears. The back has the same horns in brown so both pieces line up exactly.

How many minis are included?
Six: four ready-colored calves and two to color, each with its own back.

Why is the back brown?
The back shows the calf from behind as a solid brown shape. On the coloring page it's white, so kids can add spots there too.
