Fun Facts About Allosaurus

Allosaurus lived in the late Jurassic period, about 155 to 145 million years ago – roughly 80 million years before T-Rex. Most of its fossils come from the western United States, with some found in Portugal. It grew about 28 to 32 feet long and was one of the biggest meat-eaters of its day. Unlike T-Rex, it had longer arms with three fingers. Its little horns were probably more for showing off than anything else. It’s even the official state fossil of Utah!
