Fun Facts About Dinosaurs and Caves
Most dinosaurs didn’t live in caves; they roamed outdoors. There were exceptions, though: little Oryctodromeus, a plant-eater from the Cretaceous, probably dug burrows in the ground. It lived about 95 million years ago in what is now North America. Scientists even found fossils of young ones inside such burrows. Real caves, on the other hand, usually hold bones of Ice Age animals, which lived long after the dinosaurs.
What to Do With Your Finished Cave Dino
Glue the page to cardboard and cut open the cave entrance. Then glue a second sheet behind it with a treasure or a dino family. Or play hide and seek: who hides a small toy figure in the cave?
