A wide-brim hat and a bandana over the nose and mouth β our printable cowboy mask sends kids riding straight into the Wild West. Color it, cut it out, and add elastic. This free cowboy mask template is perfect for a Western party, ranch play, and dress-up.
Why This Cowboy Mask Is So Cool
The wide-brim cowboy hat is the trademark and looks especially real in brown or tan. The bandana over the nose and mouth is ready for a pattern like polka dots or paisley swirls. The eye holes sit right in between, so the mask looks like a true cowboy outfit. For kids five and up, it's a mask that feels like campfires and open prairie.

Fun Facts About Cowboys
Cowboys were cattle herders who drove big herds across long distances in the American West during the 1800s. Many of their skills, like roping with a lasso, came from Mexican vaqueros. Cowboys came from lots of different backgrounds, and many were Black or Mexican American. The wide hat protected them from sun and rain, and they pulled their bandanas over their noses and mouths to keep out dust. Cowboys and cowgirls still work with horses and cattle on big ranches today.

The cowboy mask is made for ages 5 to 8. Kids color and cut out the outer shape themselves, and an adult helps cut the eye holes.
Will the mask fit a childβs face?
Yes β printed at actual size (100 %) on A4 or US Letter, the mask is roughly the size of a childβs face. For adults, scale it up to 110β115 % or print on A3/Tabloid.
What paper works best?
We recommend heavier cardstock around 200 gsm (about 110 lb) so the wide brim doesn't bend.

Is there a German version?
Yes! You can find the German version at Cowboy Maske.
