While the crayons glide across the paper, this is the perfect moment for a little story. In many Christmas tales, elves move especially quietly and secretly around the house — after all, they usually don't want to be caught while preparing surprises or hiding gifts. That sense of mystery is part of what makes them such beloved fantasy characters.
