Letters to the elf are a December favorite. With elf mail they get the right paper: tiny envelopes, cookie stamps and a sign for the mailbox.
📦 What's in the Set
A little post office to print: mini stationery, postcards, tiny envelopes with folding instructions, stamps, a mailbox sign and parcel stickers. Everything is elf-sized so letters can travel back and forth between the kids and the elf.

- String or tape for the signs
🏡 Setup Idea at the Elf Door
Put a small box beside the elf door and stick the “Drop letters here” sign on it. Keep the envelopes and stationery handy next to it.
🎲 Play Idea With the Set
The kids write a letter, fold the envelope and drop it in. At night the elf picks it up and leaves a reply in a fresh envelope. At the end comes a small parcel with the sticker “Open on Christmas.”
💡 Tips
- Write the elf's replies with your other hand or in block letters. It looks like the elf wrote them.
- Print at 100% and switch off “fit to page” so the pieces stay elf-sized.
- Cut roughly first, then trim along the lines. That keeps tiny pieces neat.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I fold the mini envelopes?
The steps are printed on the page: fold the side flaps back, glue the bottom flap onto the gray areas, slip in the letter and seal the top.
Does the elf have to answer?
Not every time, but a short reply makes kids very happy. Two sentences are enough.
Which paper works best?
Plain printer paper is fine for coloring. Pieces that stand up or get folded hold their shape better on heavy cardstock (65–110 lb).
Can we reuse the set next year?
Yes. Store the finished pieces in an envelope or a cookie tin with your holiday decorations.
Is the download free?
Yes, every printable on PureSketchy is 100% free for personal use, preschools and schools – no sign-up needed.
Is there a German version?
Yes! You can find the German version at Wichtel-Post.
