Color and cut out the excavator and the excavator arm.

Excavator: fold the dash-dot lines backward, glue the gray tab inside, tuck in the bottom and roof.

Fold the excavator arm in the middle and glue both halves flat together.

Glue the top end of the arm to the front of the excavator – the bucket points down.

💡 Tips & Common Mistakes

  • Let the two halves of the arm dry before you attach it, or it will bend.
  • Hard build: Split the work. One child colors, a grown-up cuts and folds, and you glue together.
  • Use a glue stick on the tabs. Liquid glue soaks small paper pieces quickly.
  • Small paper pieces are not for children under 3. Craft and play only with supervision.
