Fun Facts About Polar Bears
Polar bears live in the Arctic around the North Pole. Their fur looks white, but each hair is actually clear and hollow β and underneath, their skin is black. Polar bears are excellent swimmers and can travel long distances through icy water. Their paws are as big as dinner plates, which helps them keep from slipping on the ice. Polar bear cubs are born in winter inside a warm snow den.
